As the previous review. Some individual staff members are great some are not, but very common to have a only single emloyee at the checkout, with a queue of 5 or 6 people, plus the auto checkouts all have the red lights flashing with frustrated people waiting for help. When the single cashier asks for assistance, no one comes with any haste to help. Before this store had it's refit, the previous manager was often seen on the shop floor and he was available to give assistance. I visit this store 4 or 5 times a week and I have never seen the new manager. Very poor store managment indeed in terms of customer service. Recently during one of these busy periods I thought I noticed someone walk out of the store with alcohol without paying - I wanted to tell a staff member, but no one arround, except the crazily busy cashier. Please can we have a new manager for our local store? Someone that cares about customer service..
You do all this work to improve your store and add in these nifty little self scan machines so that you have an additional area that you can ignore customers who need help!!!! I scan my first item and it says assistance is on its way..... 20 minutes later and after 4 members of staffed have physically seen me waiting and then walked off. After 15 minutes there the queue of 7 people are now done and the woman still ignores me whilst waiting for more people to walk to her till until i walk up to her and note that i am waiting and how long i am waiting for her to push an authorise button (for a 2litre bottle of sprite) that is RIGHT NEXT TO HER!!!!!! Disgraceful how lazy they are in this store!!!!
Good selection of food however, customer service is atrocious. I was ignored by a very ill mannerd member of the team 'Ymrije' who completely dismissed me after i asked for some assistance. TIP- if working amongst the general public in a position where you are expected to be helpful, be pleasant.
Good convenience store, specially since their refit a couple of months ago. Good range in stock and most of the staff are helpful, although there are some exceptions. I use it regularly.
Could do with more vegan options like vanilla soy yoghurt and most supermarkets have their own vegan cheeses now. And too many products are wrapped in plastic. Vegetables should be sold without plastic. And What's with the raspberry jam not having seeds? It's a handy shop and they have a nice little free from section and frozen foods. They have a good range of chocolate and all the essentials really. It's nice having it back.
