Went for Sunday roast and all 4 of us were quite disappointed with the food. The Yorkshire puds were flat like pancakes, the veg was soggy and cold, and the potatoes were burnt. We let the waiter know but he didnt seem too bothered. Cosy enough pub but wouldnt eat here again
Last night was the first time I'd been to the pub and I was pleasantly surprised. Great food and drink served by a beautiful waitress who was friendly,had a chat and a laugh. We will definitely return.
My family and I booked Christmas dinner in this pub/restaurant. Without question this was the worst Christmas dinner we have ever experienced. Food, when it finally arrived, after waiting for 2 hours was inedible. Was ignored by staff when attempting to get assistance and to top it all off, was charged twice for deserts which we understood should have been included in the price already paid for many months before. We will not be returning. Please note that we also spoke to another customer who had waited 2 hours before even getting her starters.
A good pub with food on offer. The restaurant offers the same food as the bar. It has an extensive gin collection and very good wines. One if the few good pubs left in the area.
Booked our Christmas Day lunch and PAID UP FRONT. Meal due at 2.45pm, main courses arrived at 4.30pm. Had 88-year-old mum with us! No organisation, no-one seemingly in charge, not enough staff, no offer of compensation or even a free drink. Staff had no idea when food would be arriving - utter chaos! Will NOT be returning!
